Home

This is Claire and me on our way out of our hospital room this morning. We got to leave together.

This is Claire with a tummy full of milk in her papasan chair on our back deck. She enjoyed the fresh air while my mom and I drank diet coke and chatted about serious and important topics.

This is Landon in the same papasan chair on the day he came home from the hospital when he was 12 days old. It's not really relevant, but he and his bruised head are very cute.

And this is our family of four snuggled on our living room couch. Landon remains nearly overwhelmed with excitement and pride about "his babyclaire." JP and I continue to fall more in love with our daughter. And Claire remains practically perfect in every way.

I'm hoping to sleep a little tonight now that we are away from the constant interruptions of the hospital and then I will write something of substance tomorrow. Maybe. Or you'll get another picture, but those are worth a thousand words right?

  5. Wow, I can post a comment. I haven't been able to do that in ages. Congratulations on the new baby, and way to go on living life with joy and peace! I wish I had more of that ability!

  7. I was reading through some of your old posts (as I procrastinate on barbri...) and stumbled across this from March 2007:

"Our next one has to be a girl though- there can only be so much testosterone running around."

Congratulations on bringing home your adorable girl. <3

  8. Wow, you sure are a prolific poster at the moment - maybe you should have a few more babies! :D

Love all the pictures but looking forward to a more substantive post. When you have the time. Which should be somewhere around ... next year? LOL

Enjoy your happy little family, Landon is just too cute in all these pictures. I've never seen a little fellow beam so proudly and constantly.

  9. Aw, welcome home! Claire is beautiful. I really love the family pictures. Landon is so expressive.

BTW, on a semi-unrelated note, what size Trumpettes are those and how do they fit? I bought a box but they look kind of big, so I'm undecided on whether I should wash them now or later. Yes, it's a big decision. ;)

  10. Hi LT! I think they are the newborn size - whichever one is the smallest. I got them at my baby shower. They have a little room but did manage to stay on her feet all day and they are SO cute. Landon loved them- he kept exclaiming over her shoesocks and now he wants shoesocks too.

  11. Thanks LL. I have the smallest size. I will wash them then, with my next load of infant clothes. They look adorable in the picture.

OMG, I totally can't focus on anything anymore. I don't know how I'm supposed to be productive for a whole 3 weeks before I hit full term!

  12. I was away for a whole weekend, so only now am I getting the chance to say "Congrats!!!" As I checked into my hotel Friday, I thought "LL is having her baby today!" :) I'm so excited to return home to see that all is (more than) well.

Most heartfelt congratulations, LL. I wish all of you the very best. (... and, needless to say, what an adorable family you all are!)

    :) MJS

  14. You all look so happy. And I find it absolutely hysterical that Landon continues to wear the same shirt in each and every picture... I wonder if he somehow associates the shirt with his babyclaire now?
