Last night Landon slept from 10:30pm - 5:45am (yay!). I fed him a few ounces and since he looked a little tired, and I felt a lot tired, I stuck him back in his crib. There was some protesting, but I knew he needed more than 7 hours so I waited before going back in to get him. He fell back asleep and so did I.
Then at 9:15, for the first time since Landon was born, I woke up to happy babbling sounds rather than a screaming insistance that he is starving and no one has fed him, ever. I went into his room and found him rolled over (yay!!! his pediatrician was concerned that he hadn't done that yet) and talking to his mobile. He looked quite proud of his new position and was definitely enjoying the more exciting view. (He sleeps on his stomach because of the breathing trouble and acid reflux- both are exacerbated by being on his back.) I got a huge smile and then he continued his conversation with the yellow triangle. Sometimes I look at him and just can't believe I grew something this adorable.

Sleep makes the world SUCH a better place! And he is outrageously adorable.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome. Bear was slow to roll over too. I love listening to him over the baby monitor in the morning. I can hear him in his room saying Dada, Mama, and BaBa. It is so cute. And it gets really fun when I go in to get him and he gives me a huge smile and sits up and puts his arms up for me to pick him up. I love that.
ReplyDeleteYay Landon!...good job sleeping and rolling over!!!
ReplyDeleteCooper is still not rolling over. I'm sure if I put him on his tummy to sleep, he might be. Gavin didn't roll over until he was already crawling. :)
Hooray!! What a great surprise for you both. And he *is* totally adorable.
ReplyDeleteYay for Landon sleeping AND rolling over. What a big boy! :) My oldest did not sleep through the night until she was 9 months old, and even then, was inconsistent about it until 15 months. I feel your pain.
ReplyDeleteSleep is good. (I miss sleep.) Sounds like good times are ahead for you!!
ReplyDeleteThat is the very best way to wake up!! Our wild monkey didn't sleep through the night for almost a year. When he first started sleeping I was ecstatic!! Enjoy the rest and the rolly baby!!
