Today was Chicago's "Hinton Moot Court" finals. I watched them last year and remember being amazed by how articulate and composed the finalists were- even under rapid fire questioning from some very prestigious and intimidating judges. I was excited about attending this year because I actually knew all the finalists - and they didn't disappoint. Watching them was a sudden reminder that we're really going to be lawyers in a year. They were so self-possessed and confident while arguing their cases- they'll definitely do a kick ass job representing their clients in the real world. My school has some very impressive people and it's fun to have the opportunity to watch them show off their impressiveness.
