Passing Notes

I have one class in which laptops are banned. The class also happens to be taught by my most obnoxious professor. It's unfortunate because the topic should have been fascinating. Our class discussions even manage to be quite good until the professor interrupts by launching into a thirty minute oration on what is, without fail, the most boring part of our discussion. This happened yesterday- we were talking about the constitutionality of Ten Commandments monuments on federal/state grounds. Somehow he picked up on a "Hobbesian backdrop" and the sermon began. Without AIM or google chat to assist us in communicating with each other, a classmate sitting in front of me held up his spiral with the words:

"So bored. Fake labor now."

Of course a snort of laughter escapes me right as the Professor mentions "enormous religious strife and killing."
