Frickin Freezing

Yesterday my little weatherbug notifier never registered above 0. This morning when I forced myself out to the library to write two papers, my car said it was -6 (and it was NOT happy about it). Now I love winter: the cold, the snow, the beautiful starkness, the big sweaters, scarves, and coats, but below 0 is just ridiculous. Yesterday, Landon and I stayed inside all day and tried to keep warm. Even though our thermostat was set on 75, it was still chilly inside, so I dressed him in his reindeer snow suit and that kept him nice and toasty. I really wanted one in my size.

  1. Awww..that would have been a cute Christmas card picture. Try to keep warm. I won't mention the 51 degree weather here. Next winter you will be back enjoying Texas winters again though. Enjoy your snow while you can.

  2. Ugh, how you can you enjoy that? When we moved to the U.S. from the very temperate other side of the globe, we started out in NJ (BRR!), then PA (Still Brrrr!), then DC (a bit better, but just icier!), and kept migrating south. Now I can't even imagine going back to anywhere where it gets that cold outside. Ick. :( Hope you warm up soon (or at least that you don't have to venture outdoors anytime before the sun comes out).

  3. That was something Husband told me when we'd considered moving to Chicago for law school: I'd never survive the winters! Not only is it frickin' cold, but windy too. I complain enough about the cold here, and it's 15 degrees.

  4. OMG, sooooo cute! Landon is so amazingly photogenic. Everyone is complaining about the cold here too - 40's and 50's are so rough, you know ;-) hehehe

  5. Such an adorable outfit- they definately should make more fun clothes in adult sizes!

I survived through three Chicago winter and each time I really thought I would die from the cold. Somehow the beauty and the feeling of winter magic make you forget how awful it really is, until the next winter!

  6. I love those baby buntings ... I'm so sad Gray has grown out of them! (especially since it SNOWED here TWICE last week! Do I live in Georgia, US, or in Georgia, Russia!?!)
