Still reading and loving your blog even though I rarely comment lately (kids...). Like you, we felt that our children should do their own work, and we would bite our tongues and sit on our hands while the kids did their thing. HOWEVER...our four children are very close in age, and there was a time when it wasn't uncommon to have up to three science fair projects, two history fair projects, research presentations, finals and goodness knows what else going on AT THE SAME TIME. Seriously, every horizontal surface in the house, including the pool table, was covered with project boards, experiments, craft papers and glitter. We decided that while parental intervention was still a no-go, sibling help was perfectly acceptable. Downright preferable, in fact, for the sanity of the entire family. Projects became "group projects", with our children helping each other with the research, writing, typing, cutting, pasting and practicing presentations. Our oldest kids are adults now, the younger ones still in college - I'm pretty sure they have wonderful memories working together on their school projects!Angela Peahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10327445333073683554noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3552008288188142238.post-61598845745476742102016-04-25T10:44:40.225-05:002016-04-25T10:44:40.225-05:00Your 3 kids are amazing amazing amazing! He doesn't know left click from right click and I can only handle so much.
